Toyota hat mit dem J.V. mit dem Sabanci Clan größere Pläne gehabt, als nur den - zugegeben - hungrigen türk. Automarkt zu sättigen!
Toyota hatte sogar schon damals von sich aus Überlegungen angestellt, die Türkei zur "Europa"-Zentrale zu machen. Fakt ist, dass es ein "Nahost" Zentrum schon heute ist!
Das nur für den türk. Binnenmarkt produziert wird, kann ich dir widerlegen!
On February 19, 2002, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey (TMMT) became an exporter of Corolla sedans, to be followed in August with station wagons, to 25 countries, mostly in Europe. Top national and local Turkish government officials as well as Japan’s ambassador to Turkey and TMC executives from Japan attended an export-launch ceremony at TMMT’s Adapazari Plant. Expressing his confidence in the success of the project, TMC Executive Vice President Yoshio Ishizaka praised the "hard working spirit" of the Turkish people. With plans for export of over 40,000 units by March 31, 2002, TMMT will contribute to Toyota"s expanding presence in Europe.
